How to Prepare for Your Portrait Session

Communicate Your Expectations

Everyone has different tastes.  This is why it's important to communicate to your photographer what your expectations are so that he/she will not only meet, but surpass, your expectations.  Therefore, at least two days before the portrait session, fill out the survey sent to you by the photographer (via e-mail):

(1) Create a "shoot list" of portraits you have seen on the photographer's website or other areas of the internet that you like and do not like.

(2) Explain what it is about the portrait that you do/don't like.

Your photographer will not take photographs exactly like another photographer.   However, the shoot list helps him/her  understand your photographic preferences, which enables him/her to deliver  photographs you'll  love!
